I've actually had an egg hatch in my hand in real life. It was an anole lizard and I was little, I didn't realize it was even an egg until it hatched.

You set out into the forest your flynex companion at your side. You plan on checking out the river now that the weather is good.
Attempt 1:
The two you set off on the path towards the river. It's still a bit muddy in places but the path is mostly clear. The wind from the storm seems to have blown debris everywhere around you. Despite this there's nothing around to salvage or collect.
Attempt 2:
Further down the path you come across a rather large tree that had fallen across the path. The two of you carefully navigate around the tree until you find yourselves back on the path. You can see the river in the distance.
Attempt 3:
Once closer you notice that the river had been flooded quite a lot. Sand and muck from the river is stuck on the nearby foliage and ground. There are many creature tracks in the mud all around the river. You observe them for a little while and find yourself a stone for your collection.

Attempt 4:
You continue walking along the river bank catching sight of a couple of walpups rebuilding their den on the bank after the storm had washed it away. They notice the two of you and watch you warily for a moment before deciding you are no threat. Your flynex boops your hand with his nose to gain your attention. He's got a tiny kit following him.

Attempt 5:
Further upstream you come upon the bridge leading towards the dark forest. It seems the bridge has been completely destroyed by the storm however there is now a tree laying across the banks. You could possibly cross it...
Attempt 6:
Unfortunately while you are debating crossing the tree, your Flynex gets his wing caught in some debris and injures himself before you are able to help him get free. You leave the forest to get him taken care of.
I'm beginning to thing somehow my explores have gotten more unbalanced somehow? I've noticed there's been more 'nothing found' recently

Evergreen Forest:
Your flynex's wing is still a bit sore but he still excitedly follows you out the door ready to explore again.
Attempt 1:
Knowing that your flynex has yet to completely recover from his injuries you decide to take things easy and try to avoid dangerous areas. The first part of your exploration you stick to the paths but find nothing worth keeping. However you do notice a barely traveled path.
Attempt 2:
You decide to follow this path with your flynex walking behind you enjoying the fresh air. The path way isn't anything extra ordinary, however, once you reach the end you notice a strange rock formation that looks as if it's missing something. You search nearby for that something but instead you find an egg.

Attempt 3:
Not ready to give up quite yet on the mysterious stone alter you continue to search the area. You flynex tries to help but seems to not really understand what it is you are trying to find. He brings you a few things that he finds but none are what you need.
Attempt 4:
While you a searching through a patch of tall grass you catch a glimpse of a large creature moving nearby. It startles you. It's a creature you haven't seen before. It's skin changes colors in front of your eyes, blending flawlessly into the trees until all you can see is two sets of vibrant eyes staring back at you. It makes a weird chirping sound despite not resembling a bird then closes it's eyes and vanishes completely. You wonder if it had even been there at all.
Attempt 5:
You watch your surroundings for a moment hoping to see the strange creature again but with no luck. Although it seems your flynex has found you something.

Attempt 6:
You stay in the area for a little longer but decide to head back after noticing your flynex nursing his injured wing. It seems he needs to rest. On your way out however, you do find some pebbles.

Hallowed Trail
Excited to start your spooky season out right you take Cithaeron to the Hallowed Trail.
Attempt 1:
You start your exploration at the fall flavors pie contest, the winners won't be chosen till later but most are offering free samples of their special recipes. You decide to try a few also allowing Cithaeron to try the ones that are safe for them as well.
Attempt 2:
After the two of you have enough of the pie samples you walk through the main market area. There are locals selling masks, potions, candies, and strange crafts they've made themselves. There's even a guy claiming to be a professional necromancer. You get so distracted by all the shops you spend too much time here.
Attempt 3:
Finally you make it to the corn maze, Cithaeron seems more excited about this part. They rush ahead of you only to return to you after realizing they'd left you behind. The two of you eventually end up at a dead end where you find an egg. Egg in hand you continue only to find yourselves back at the beginning again... maybe you'll find your way through next time.
