Denali
Denali (also known as Mount McKinley) bears the title of highest peak in North America.
Located in Alaska, its summit elevation towers to 20320 feet. The mountain is known
for its characteristic low temperatures - the lowest temperature ever recorded on
Denali is -100°F. Home to five different glaciers, the mountain sports two different
peaks, but the South one, being higher, is the more popular and the North Summit is
rarely climbed. Denali is an Athabaskan word meaning "The Great One."
Denali as a gondra bears many similarities to the famed peak. He may be natural, but he is viewed highly by his friends. When speaking to others, Denali tends to be quiet and blunt - but don't mistake that for hostility. He is simply challenging you to be one of the lucky few that gets through to him. Although most see Denali's quiet, "South Summit" personality, those that take time to explore the North side will be pleasantly surprised by his witty but well-meant remarks.
