Snow everywhere. That's what I remember from childhood. Cold seeping into your bones. A thick white blanket covering all the roofs, roads, and trees. Everything was so beautiful and when it was really freezing the snow was shimmering like somebody dropped a million tiny diamonds on the ground. I may not like the cold very much but I do miss those days, especially White Christmas.
I don't know about your country but in the present day, we hardly have any snow, if you are not in the mountains. We get only a few days when the temperature drops close to -10 degrees, rarely below that. When it snows it usually pretty quickly turns into mud. Bare trees, everything is just ugly, sad, pathetic. I don't remember the last time we actually had snow on Christmas day that would last.
15 years is not that long time yet we have done so much damage to nature.
