June 30, 2020 - Downtime
Hi everyone!

On June 29th, At approximately 2:30 PM EST we experienced a server crash. After recovering the system, Rescreatu was brought online at which point we discovered some data loss. At this point we were forced to take Rescreatu offline to further assess damage and to work on a resolution.

As we told you previously, we have been planning for a server migration in the near future. Luckily, we had already provisioned and set up the new server. Given the severity of the server crash, we decided that the best path forward was to take this opportunity to bring Rescreatu back online in its new home, ahead of schedule. We hope to see an increase in website performance due to the upgraded server.

Unfortunately, due to the data loss, we were forced to restore Rescreatu to our new server from our backup taken at approximately 11:53 PM EST, June 28th. This gap accounts for about 9 hours and 30 minutes of data loss.

Having said all of this, it's not all bad news! We did not lose all of our data and were able to restore all of our hatches from June 29th prior to the crashing of the server. If you hatched a creatu during this time, you should see it in a slot within your Hatchery. If you do not see a creatu you have hatched, please reach out to support staff for assistance.

Furthermore, to make up for the downtime we have set all users to tier 5 in the Enchanted Springs! If you were previously below level 61, you have been set to level 61. If you were previously above level 61, no changes have been made. Enchanted Springs progress will not reset until July 1st.

If you purchased any Cash Points during this downtime, please be sure to reach out to our support staff for assistance in recovering your CP.

Finally, we are giving away Glitch Skin to all users who post in this update what they missed the most while Rescreatu was down. You must respond by the end of July 4th to receive this gift.


It goes without saying, but we're very sorry for the problems that have occurred today. We did our best to mitigate and to make the best of a bad situation. We hope you all understand :)

June 12, 2020 - Server Problems


 Between the hours of 12:00 AM - 6 AM Rescreatu time, we experienced possible data loss that may have impacted players who were active at this time. The root cause appears to be an abnormal load on our server, created by an influx of bot traffic. We apologize for any issues you may have experienced due to this.
 
 To help alleviate additional problems we've disabled the reset of Enchanted Springs for tonight's reset. No players will lose their Enchanted Springs progress during the next reset. Enchanted Springs will return back to normal tomorrow.
 
 If you've noticed any problems with your account resulting from this potential data loss, please submit a ticket to support staff. We will address these problems as best we can.
 
 This also serves as a good opportunity to let everyone know that we are in the process of planning a server upgrade. Some of this work has already been done. We will announce the date and time for services to switch over as soon as we can.
