Jahra are inquisitive Creatu. They enjoy dismantling any new object they come across to see how it works. At times this is difficult as they lack opposable thumbs, but that rarely stops them. Most of the time they lose interest once they have dismantled an object and leave the pieces scattered everywhere as they go on their way. These tendencies are most often found in juveniles although they never truly grow out of them.

Adults are usually loners, tolerating the company of others grudgingly but preferring their solitude. The exception to this is young of their own species and those few individuals they bond with. Adults will care for any Jahra egg they come across but only one adult will remain with the young once they hatch. This is as much for the protection of those around them as it is for the young. The adults teach the young to hunt by blinding their prey with reflections of light off their feathers and to contain their enthusiasm and curiosity. Even when they go their separate ways, the pair will never forget each other and enjoy the occasional reunion.

Jahra are extremely picky in their owners. Not many people can keep a Jahra because they do not have the time or ability to keep them intellectually stimulated. When not kept busy Jahra quickly become bored and destructive. If a human is as inquisitive as the Jahra they often develop incredible bonds. Jahra especially like being with inquisitive humans because humans have opposable thumbs and tools which can be used to dismantle those tough objects that give the Jahra trouble.
